HLTAID003  PROVIDE FIRST AID
First Aid Course HLTAID003 (Includes CPR). To book this course, please scrol to the bottom page and select the venue of your choice to book in.
This course is for everyone/all workers who may be required to provide first aid response in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings. This course is previously known as (senior first aid, Level 2 First Aid, Apply First Aid). With this course, you will develop the skill on how to provide first aid, provide CPR, response to an emergency situation, life support, management of casualty, use a defibrillator until the arrival of medical or other assistance. Our first aid course includes the content of provide CPR (HLTAID001) and provide basic emergency life support (HLTAID002).
Qualification: On successful completion of the course, students are awarded a statement of attainment in:
Provide First Aid  HLTAID003
Provide CPR   HLTAID001
Provide basic emergency life support HLTAID002
Certificates are issued on the day of the course to learners found competent. (Same day certificate)
Entry requirements: There are no entry requirements, however learners should have Literacy, Language and numeracy competencies equivalent to Australian Core Skills Framework Level 1.  This requires a student to be able to verbally communicate incident details as well as be able write accurate report of an incident. Students should be able to perform CPR on the floor.
Course Duration: 5 to 7 hours depending on class size. Online course needs to be completed prior to attendance.

Registered Training Organisation RTO 45280 and all our courses are Nationally accredited, recognised and workplace approved

Same as Senior First aid, Level 2 First aid. Refresher courses are also available to holders of certificates about to expire.

Equipment
Here at Smartlink, all our training is supported with adequate teaching aid in order to help with the delivery of the theoretical and practical training modules such as bandages, handouts, power point presentation, inhalers, Epipen, CPR manikins, visual aids etc.

Theory contents
Legal aspects of First aid, Victim assessment, respiration and circulation, resuscitation, shock, asthma, fainting, anaphylaxis, cardiac and medical conditions, choking, drowning, hyperventilation, traumatic injury, overexposure to heat and cold, workplace first aid, bites and stings, poisoning signs of life, aftercare etc.
Practical content
CPR/Resuscitation, Bandaging, slings and splints, micro sessions scenarios, inhalers, epipen/anapen, Defibrillation etc.

After Course: On successful completion of the course,   Students will be issued a nationally recognized statement of attainment in Provide first aid HLTAID003 which is valid for 3 years and the CPR component is valid for 12 months.
