I’ve already got a First Aid Certificate. Do I need another?
First Aid Certificate holders (HLTAID011) need to renew their accreditation every three years if they wish to practise first aid in the workplace. Additionally, CPR-accredited individuals must renew their CPR certification every 12 months.

Can I claim a first aid course on tax?
Yes, you can. If you are the assigned first aid attendant in your workplace and are required to obtain a first aid accreditation to support emergency situations at work, you might be able to claim courses on tax. However, if your employer covers training costs, whether upfront or through reimbursement, you cannot make this deduction at tax time.
